Hardwood floors can be tricky to take care of. Everyone wants them clean and shining. If you have ever used a mop on hardwood flooring you know that it can leave streaks behind and the mop needs to be rid of almost all moisture in it or the water can damage the floors. I decided to try using my Rocket Electric Mop steam cleaner as a hardwood steam cleaner. In Canada , not many people know that it is okay to use a hardwood steam cleaner.
The Rocket Electric Mop steam cleaner comes with extension tubes and a floor brush with cloths that attach to the floor brush to protect the finish on the hardwood. The floor brush is attached to the extension tubes using the adapter that is in the onboard tool caddy. To attach the floor cloth, you use the clips on either side of the floor brush to secure it in place. Hardwood steam cleaning does require having several cloths on hand. As the cloth picks up the dirt and gets wet with steam you will need to change out the floor brush cloths. You can use any cloths that you have at home that fit; I use hand towels and old tea towels.
The Rocket Electric Mop is portable and on wheels so moving it along the floor is no effort at all. I just move the floor brush along the floor, back and forth and keep an eye on how wet the cloth is. As soon as I see moisture I change the cloth on the floor brush and keep going. My hardwood steam cleaning removes all dirt, sticky messes, dog foot prints and leave my floor shining and sanitized killing 99.9% of germs and bacteria, with no chemical residue left behind.
The Rocket Electric Mop is great for:
- Scuff marks
- Kitchen messes
- Muddy footprints
- Ground-in dirt
- Sticky liquids
- Spills
- Stains
- Pet messes and more
Have you ever wondered why some people seem to get sick less often than others? One factor that may play a significant role in overall health is the cleanliness of their living environment. In fact, research has shown that clean homes are not only more aesthetically pleasing, but they can also have a positive impact on physical and mental well-being.
Reduced Allergens
Dust mites, pet dander, and mold are common allergens that can trigger respiratory issues and allergies. By regularly cleaning and dusting your home, you can significantly reduce the presence of these allergens, leading to improved indoor air quality and fewer allergy symptoms. In fact, studies have shown that maintaining a clean home can reduce allergen levels by up to 85%.
Prevention of Illness
Bacteria and viruses can easily spread in a dirty environment, increasing the risk of infections and illnesses. By regularly disinfecting high-touch surfaces and keeping your home clean, you can minimize the spread of harmful germs. Research has indicated that individuals who live in cleaner homes have a 40% lower risk of contracting illnesses such as the flu or common cold.
Improved Mental Health
Clutter and mess can contribute to feelings of stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. On the other hand, a clean and organized living space has been linked to improved mental well-being. A study conducted by the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin found that individuals with cleaner homes were less likely to experience mood swings and depression compared to those living in cluttered environments.
Better Sleep Quality
A tidy bedroom can promote better sleep hygiene, leading to improved sleep quality and overall health. Research has shown that individuals who make their beds daily are 19% more likely to report getting a good night's sleep on a regular basis. Additionally, a clean and clutter-free bedroom can create a calming environment that is conducive to relaxation and restful sleep.
Increased Productivity
A clean and organized workspace can have a positive impact on productivity and focus. Studies have shown that individuals working in a clutter-free environment are able to concentrate better and complete tasks more efficiently. By maintaining a clean home, you can create a conducive environment for productivity and success.
The benefits of a clean home extend far beyond just aesthetics. From reducing allergens and preventing illness to improving mental health and productivity, maintaining a clean living environment can have a profound impact on overall well-being. So, next time you reach for the cleaning supplies, remember that you are not just tidying up – you are investing in your health.
